Customer Review
VIZIO E601i-A3 Great Quality.
By Natasha
VIZIO E601i-A3 is their 60Inch LED HDTV model with great bang for such a small package. I will cover the good, the bad and the ugly on this “little” giant and give you a straight ahead review. Don’t worry “techies” I’ll have something for you as well.
The impressive thing.
LED Technology: Not to get to “techie” on you, LED TVs benefit you in 3 basic ways:
– Longer lasting picture vs traditional LCD TV
– Energy efficient for the earth conscience and/or money wise consumer
– Profile – LED allows for a smaller bulb making it easier to make a thinner more durable TV
The Picture Quality: Most people today have the mentality of, “The bigger, the better” when it comes to TV screen size, but the VIZIO E601i-A3 is a perfect match for the college dorm room, guest bedroom or garage/work space.
With LED TVs, such as the VIZIO E601i-A3 you usually get a crisper and clearer picture and the 60Inch size stamps out any “blooming” (bluish tint that may appear around black areas of the picture) you may find on larger models.
Razor Class: VIZIO E601i-A3 is super thin due to VIZIOs Razor LED Technology. This give the end user great flexibility on placement and portability. You can put this TV just about anywhere you’d like without worry.
For a little package, VIZIO did not skip on inputs. Fully equipped with HDMI inputs, this little VIZIO can double as a great little slide projector for both family and business presentations.
Vizio is known for their great price point and this model is no exception. Some people look for price first and quality second, but for us, you get both with The VIZIO E601i-A3. Easily found at most discounters such as Walmart and Amazon, you can find the best price with very little effort.
Disadvantages small.
Sound: We have had some complaints with the “out of the box” speakers on this model, but it’s to be expected in our opinion. You’re not going to pack theater sound into a TV of this size; it’s just not going to happen.
Not a major draw back for us because as we mentioned before, this model is usually a guest room or work room type TV and not your primary viewer.
The Remote: I have heard reports, although we haven’t experienced this, with the sensitivity of the remote control. It does not come with the “Qwerty Keyboard” or “Blu Tooth” remote found on VIZIO’s higher end models, but that’s to be expected.
Yes folks, you will to be in the same room as the TV and pointing the remote at the very least, in the direction of the TV. Not the end of the world for us, nor for most of our readers.
Conclusion
The sound isn’t a factor for us and we love the picture and portability of the VIZIO E601i-A3. As always, we’re on the side of the price conscience consumer and the VIZIO E601i-A3 beats the nearest competitor hands down in that department.

These Vizio Razors look really, really good, especially considering they’re relatively inexpensive TVs. I think I’m going to end up picking one of these sixty inchers up for my family room (though I’ll need something smaller for the bedroom). I really want to upgrade these last 2 SD sets we have because once I get a Hopper whole-home DVR, it’ll send all my high definition channels to every room. When I started talking about buying new HD TVs, several of my coworkers at DISH recommended Vizio. I can’t wait; having HD in every room is going to be awesome because ever since we upgraded 2 of the rooms to HD, the family always seems to end up fighting over the TVs in those two rooms. I guess no one wants to settle for one of the old standard def TVs, LOL. Once I have new TVs and the Hopper in my house, that won’t be an issue anymore.
